Every December, we take a moment to raise a glass to the incredible community that keeps our stills running, our bar buzzing, and our spirits (literally) higher than ever. This year, we’re throwing a Members-Only bash to celebrate you—the people who’ve supported 117º West Spirits through every release, every event, and every moment where Justin said, “I have an idea…” and you all said, “We’re in.”
So here’s what we’ve lined up:
🍖 Food by Heavy’s Smokehouse
Slow-smoked, soul-warming, and dangerously addictive. If you leave hungry, that’s on you.
🎶 Live Music by Benji Knight & The Pale Aliens
A rotating constellation of talented humans—including our very own Master Distiller, Justin McCabe, holding down the drums. Expect good vibes, great energy, and maybe a story or two we can’t write down.
🥃 Cocktails, Whiskey, and All the 117º Goodness
Come thirsty. Leave happy. Repeat as necessary.
This night is all about celebrating you, our members, the folks who show up, cheer us on, bring friends, stay late, and help make this place what it is. We appreciate you more than you know.

Members-Only Release Event: Rum Cask Finished Single Malt Whiskey
Join us at 117º West Spirits for an exclusive members-only evening celebrating the release of our Rum Cask Finished Single Malt Whiskey — a bold expression of our “True California Whiskey” craftsmanship.
Enjoy the smooth sounds of the Jazz Groove Trio, savor mouthwatering plates from Thumb’s Up BBQ, and be among the first to taste and purchase this very limited release before it’s gone. Complimentary tastings will be available prior to purchase.

Women Who Whiskey
We’re thrilled to welcome the Women Who Whiskey – San Diego Chapter to 117º West Spirits for a special North County event celebrating craft, community, and True California Whiskey.
Hosted by our Master Distiller, Justin McCabe, this exclusive evening will include six (6) half-ounce tastings of our award-winning whiskies and spirits, paired with individual charcuterie boards. Guests will enjoy an intimate guided tasting experience, a behind-the-scenes distillery tour, and the chance to ask questions, connect, and shop bottles and merchandise, just in time for the holidays.
Tickets will be $35 per person (plus fees), RSVP below for this amazing evening of women, whiskey, and bonding.
While the club is called Women Who Whiskey, everyone is welcome to join this spirited evening of whiskey exploration and camaraderie.

Women Who Whiskey - San Diego Chapter

Saturday, August 23, 2025 - 2pm
- Members Only - $40/guest
- (Members can invite non-member guests)
- Blind Tasting of (6) Whiskies
- 1 Full Charcuterie Board per member/guest
This members-only event is a first of its kind event where we'll be blind tasting (6) different whiskies, with at least one of those being a 117º whiskey. Along with Justin McCabe, 117º West Spirits' Master Distiller, we'll go over one-by-one the characters and tasting notes of each whiskey, where you'll be able to take notes, make assumptions, and see if your whiskey experience is truly master-level.
In addition to the whiskey tasting, we'll be serving up one of our full charcuterie boards for each guest, to help keep you in the game with our hand-selected meats, cheeses, and other assorted goodies.
In addition, we'll be offering additional discounts on bottles, glassware, and swag. This is the perfect time to come in, sample some top whiskies, chow down on some delicious eats, and stock up on your 117º inventory.
Membership will be checked at the door and you MUST be a member to attend. (It's not us, it's the fuzz, man!)
We anticipate this event selling out quickly and if it does, don't worry...if the demand is there, we'll open up a second event at 3:30pm. So add yourself to the waiting list if the 2pm event is booked up.

RSVP for this Members Only Event. We’ll be releasing our latest cask finished whiskey and we can’t wait to share it with you. You must RSVP to be included in this exclusive event. We’ll have a Vista favorite, Meche’s Fish Tacos on site delivering their mouth watering eats, plus live music from Más Café.

¡Cinco de Mayo Comes Early at 117º West Spirits!
Join us Saturday, May 3rd for an unforgettable celebration of our very own Agave Spirits—crafted right here in California, and bursting with the bold flavors of old Mexico. While we can’t call it tequila (we’re not in Jalisco), our golden, smooth, and delicious agave spirits bring that south-of-the-border magic with every sip.
Expect tasting notes of:
- Roasted agave
- Bright citrus
- A hint of white pepper
- Vanilla oak smoothness
We’re serving up handcrafted agave cocktails, mouthwatering Mexican-inspired food, and all the good vibes you’d expect from a 117º party.
